Spring BBQ in Niseko

We have had spring-like weather lately.
Then, you can see that the snow walls beside roads in Hirafu area are melting day by day.

You may think that it's almost a Spring BBQ season
but there are still prenty of snow surrounding cottages.
Therefore, Izumikyo BBQ service will start from the 29th of April.
(※The content is subject to change depending on the snowpack and weather.)


You can bring your own BBQ charcoal stove whose legs are higher than 50 cm.
However, please understand in advance that it is banned bringing "Shichirin", "Takibi stand" or fire starters.

We have rental BBQ stove service.
Also, we have catering services for meals like BBQ sets. 
(※Orders must be received no later than 17:00 on three days before check-in. Min order 2.)

Charcoal - grilled Takigawa AIGAMO

Here, this is another menu of Bistro Re Arbor.

It is charcoal-grilled "Aigamo", duck meat produced in Takigawa Hokkaido.

”Aigamo" is produced by crossbreeding of Wild Mallard and Duck.
It is said that Duck is created by selective breeding of Wild Mallard.
I am really confused...

Anyway, Duch meat is greasy and thin as typified by Peking Duck.
Then, "Aigamo" is made by crossbreeding Wild Mallard to bring the features of the meat closer to the Japanese preferences.

Takigata town in Hokkaido is known for Aigamo production.
It is located in the north area of Ishikari Plain Hokkaido.
Aigamo is grown in the town with rich nature that has crisp and clear air and clean water.

The meat is bright red, its quality is tender. It has rich taste with moderate fat.

It is the Aigamo that is simply grilled.

The whole tomato salad --- Bistro Re Arbor ---

This is the whole tomato salad, which is one of Bistro Re Arbor's menu.

When we say tomato, most people may associate the producing directs with warm regions
such as Kumamoto or Miyazaki prefectures. 
However, Hokkaido is one of the largest producers of tomatoes.
Actually, it is the 2nd place in tomato corp in Japan.

The whole tomato salad, it is made with spending time and effort to peeling off the tomatoes in a hot water.
Then, it is tasting plasant in the mouth.
In addition, if you put it on a plate, it looks so cute !

If there is the whole tometo salad on a table, it must make the table colorful.
Also, I am sure that it is yummy!

Valentine's Day is coming soon!

I found new chocolate  booth in Milk-Kobo in Higashi Yama area Niseko.

There are four types of chocolate bars, milk chocolate,
white chocolate and aquired taste chocolate with high-cacao.

At the next booth, there are chocolate-milk jam and almond sweets.

Everything looks so nice!

In Izumikyo area, you can buy Valentine chocolate cookies at Graubunden that is just next to Izumikyo Management Center.
Each one is individually wrapped and affordable size to give your friends or family, isn't it?
Also it is good for yourself during stay-home (^ ^).


It seems that the cold weather remains with us for a while.
Have chocolates and warm & relax!

Bistro ReArbor Schedule

It's already February.

Today is calld "the beginning of Spring " in the traditional Japanese calendar.
But it was freezing cold this morning.
The temperature of this morning was about minus 12 ℃.
Snow conditions are nice. It is in the middle of winter.

ReArbor will be closed on Feb 8th, 15th, 24th.
