Snowmobile in Niseko

snowmobile2.jpg

Last day I went to "White Isle (snowmobile tour company)" to ride on a snowmobile.
I registered at the front desk and then prepared myself
such as putting on a snow wear, snow booths, globes, a neckwarmer,
a helment and gogles.
(The snowmobile tour company lended me the helmet and gogles.)

(If you don't have any snow wear or snow booths,
you can rent them there; separately charged.)

A guide trained us how to operate a snowmobile. Then, we started to drive it.
We drove a snowmobile along behind the guide.

At the begining of my driving, I was at a loss to operate a handle or to shift my weight.
But gradually I got used to operating the smowmobile.
Once I got used to the driving, I could drive a little bit faster.
It's a fantastic !

The tour menu that I joined was 30-minute course.
You may think that it sounds short time but it was adventurous and enjoyable for me
because the course had up and down and we drove on a bridge too.

When I joined the tour, I could not see Mt. Youtei due to snowing.
But I heard if it is sunny, you can see Mt. Youtei or if you are lucky, you could find animals' footprints on the snow.

In addition to the 30-minute course, there are 60-minute course and 90-minute course.
Some courses run in the rime trees zone and if it is sunny, you may see Japan Sea.

I think the snowmobile menu may be good to family with child
or it may be good when you are not going to go skiing/snowboarding during your stay
but want to do something different in the snow.

There are some discout on the snowmobile fees to Izumikyo's guests.
If you are interested in it, please let us know.
